Chapter 2: Nutrition in Animals
In the previous chapter, we learnt about nutrition in plants. Now, in this chapter students will learn about nutrition in animals. The chapter starts with the mode of taking food into the body, and then the human digestive system is described in detail with a well-illustrated diagram. Then it describes the digestion of grass-eating animals. At the end of the chapter, feeding and digestion in amoeba is explained.

Chapter 3: Fibre to Fabric
This chapter explains the process of obtaining wool and silk. It describes the animals that yield wool and the process through which fibres are converted into wool. Then the topic of silk begins. It describes the life story of the silk moth and the process of obtaining silk from cocoons.

Chapter 4: Heat
In the chapter, students understand how we find out whether an object is hot or cold, how to measure temperature. Then this chapter explains about the laboratory thermometer and transfer of heat. At the end it talks about the kind of clothes we wear in summer and winters.

Chapter 6: Physical and Chemical Changes

Chapter 7: Weather, Climate, and Adaptations of Animals to Climate

Chapter 8: Winds, Storms and Cyclones
This chapter talks about the natural calamities that destroy human life and cause damage to property. This chapter starts with the properties of air, i.e.,

Chapter 17: Forests – Our Lifeline
