BSE Telangana | Telangana Board of Secondary Education

BSE Telangana, which is also known as Telangana Board of Secondary Education or TS BSE. The board operates as an independent department under the Ministry of Secondary Education, Telangana. The board is divided into the Directorate of Government Examinations and the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE). The Directorate of Government Examinations or the SSC Board conducts the Class 10 examinations. The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) is in charge of pre-university or Intermediate (Classes 11 and 12) education in the state.

Latest Notification

• The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has announced that the English (first language) syllabus for Intermediate second-year has been revised for the 2023-24 academic year. The Board has released a statement that the textbooks with the updated syllabus will be available for purchase soon.
• The BSE Telangana has announced the dates for the 2023 SSC Board exam. The exams are scheduled to start on 3rd April 2023 and continue till 13th April 2023.
• The Directorate of Government Examinations, Telangana has released the hall ticket for the 2023 SSC board exams. Students can download the hall ticket from the official website.
• The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has announced the dates for the Intermediate XII (2nd year) exam. The Class 12 exams will be conducted from 16th March 2023 to 4th April 2023.
• The TSBIE has extended the last date for payment of the Intermediate Public Examination fees. 

About BSE Telangana

The TS BSE or Telangana board regulates secondary and intermediate education in the state. The board, which was formed in June 2014 conducts the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations in the state. The Board also prescribes the syllabus, curriculum, textbooks and announces the results of the public examinations.

BSE Telangana Exam Timetable

The Telangana Board conducts the SSC (Class 10) and Intermediate 2 (Class 12) public examination every year in March/April. This year, the SSC (Class 10) public examinations are scheduled to start on 3rd April 2023 and continue till 13th May 2023. Telangana Board Results 

The Telangana Board of Secondary Education evaluates the answer papers after the SSC (Class 10) and Intermediate 2nd year (Class 12) exam. The Board then announces the results of the public examinations on their official website.

Telangana State Board Grading System

The Telangana State Board follows a grading system and students are awarded certain grades based on their marks. The table below shows the grade allotted as per the marks scored. 

Grading Pattern

It should be noted the scorecard might also include certain terms like WH, MP, CP and AB. WH stands for ‘Result withheld for want of information’, MP for ‘Malpractice’, CP for ‘Compartmentally passed’, and AB for ‘Absent for all papers’.
