SSC CGL 2023 – The SSC CGL exam 2023 recruitment started from 3rd April 2023. The Staff Selection Commission on its official website has released the exam dates for SSC CGL 2023  Tier 1 exam on 29th March 2023.

SSC CGL 2023 (Tier 1) exam is scheduled from 14th July to 27th July 2023.

Interested candidates are required to fill out the application form from 1st April 2023 to 1st May 2023 as prescribed in the calendar.

What is SSC CGL ? The SSC CGL Exam is Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Exam, conducted to recruit candidates for Group B and Group C posts in various departments of the Government of India.

SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2023 Update:

• SSC CGL 2023 notification has been released on 3rd April 2023.

SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2022 and previous years’ Update:

• The Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC CGL Tier III exam admit card on the official website on 16th August, 2022. Candidates appearing for Tier III SSC CGL exam on 21st August 2022 can download their SSC CGL Admit Card  from the linked page.
• The Commission has released the SSC CGL Tier II exam admit card  on August 2nd 2022. The exam Tier II SSC CGL  took place from 8th August to 10th August 2022.
• The commission has released the schedule of SSC CGL Tier-II Dates and SSC CGL Tier III 2021 dates. As per the notification the Tier II and Tier III exam of SSC CGL 2021 is scheduled on 8th August to 10th August and 21st August 2021 respectively. However, the schedule is subject to the prevailing conditions and Government guidelines issued from time to time regarding handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. SSC CGL Exam

SSC CGL Exam Notification

The official website of SSC releases the CGL exam notification every year. SSC GCL 2023 notification was released on 3rd April 2023.

The notification for SSC CGL 2023, SSC CGL 2022 and SSC CGL 2021 released on September 17th and September 10th 2022 and December 23rd, 2021 respectively to conduct the examination.

With the approval of the National Recruitment Agency by the Union Cabinet, a Combined Eligibility Test (CET) shall be conducted for candidates appearing for SSC, RRB and IBPS exams. Candidates who aspire to write the SSC CGL 2023-24 Exam must understand the eligibility criteria properly. There are 4 criteria for the exam – 3 are for everyone, 1 is only for certain posts.

1. Citizenship– Must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan
2. SSC CGL Age Limit- Must be between the age group of 18 years and 32 years
3. Qualification- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University
4. Physical Fitness– Only for candidates for certain posts like Inspector, Sub- Inspector, etc.

The Staff Selection Commission conducts the CGL Exam in 4 different stages called Tiers. The last Tier Exam is only for certain posts and for candidates who have qualified certain papers.

The SSC CGL Exam pattern is as follows:

SSC CGL Selection Process – Important Pointers

1. Aspirants of the SSC CGL 2023-24 exam will be assigned roll numbers and admit cards to appear for the Tier I exam.
2. Candidates will be shortlisted category-wise to appear for Tier II and Tier III, based on the marks scored in SSC CGL 2023 Tier I.
3. All candidates will have to appear for Paper I and Paper II in Tier-II exam. However, only specific candidates will have to appear for Paper III and Paper IV of the Tier II exam in SSC CGL 2023-24 exam.
4. Separate cutoff will be fixed for Paper I, Paper-II, Paper III and Paper IV of Tier II exam.
5. In SSC CGL 2023-24 exam, there will be minimum qualifying marks in each Tier and all the papers. The minimum qualifying marks in SSC CGL Tier I, Tier II(each paper), Tier III are as follows:

• Unreserved Categories – 30 %
• EWS/OBC Categories – 25%
• Other Categories – 20%

SSC CGL 2023 application form-filling process started on 3rd April 2023, and the last date to apply will be 3rd May 2023. Candidates willing to appear for the exam are required to fill the application form on the SSC official website.

SSC CGL Exam Admit Cards/ Admission Certificates (ACs) will be uploaded on the website of the concerned Regional/ Sub-Regional Office of the Commission. SSC CGL Exam Centres

The commission announced 7500 tentative vacancies for SSC CGL 2023 with the release of notification on 3rd April 2023.
