RRB 2020 – Latest Updates

  1. The Railway Recruitment Board has released the Admit card for RRB NTPC exam on December 23rd 2020 to conduct the phase I from 28th December 2020. Cand9idates can download the RRB NTPC Admit Card 2020 for different phases as and when it will be released on the given link. 
  2. The Railway Recruitment Board has announced the RRB Ministerial and Isolated categories exam date 2020. As per the notification, the CBT exam is scheduled to be conducted from December 15th to December 18th. Candidates appearing for the exam can go through the detailed notice of RRB Ministerial and Isolated categories exam date 2020 on the given link.
  3. On December 2nd 2020, the Railway Recruitment Board Chairman and CEO announced the final RRB exam date for Non-Technical and popular category exam 2019 and the Group D Level 1 exam 2019. The RRB NTPC 2019 exam is scheduled to be conducted from 28th December while RRB Group D/ RRC Level 1 2019 exam is lined up to commence from April 2021 onwards.

RRB Exam NTPC

The RRB exam updates for NTPC: The exam date for Railway NTPC is scheduled from December 28th 2020 onwards.

Earlier, the Railway Board has released a notice and invited open E-tenders for exam conducting agencies so that the computer-based tests of RRB NTPC 2019 exam is scheduled to be conducted in 2020.

RRB ALP

The details of RRB exam for ALP recruitment 2023 is not yet released by the Railway Board. For further information refer to the RRB ALP Notification.

Since the last recruitment for ALP was conducted in 2018, aspirants can refer to the recruitment details for the 2018-19 exam to get an idea on the same.

As per the RRB, the number of vacancies indicated in the notification are provisional and may increase or decrease or even may become NIL in total or in specific communities/posts/units at a later stage depending upon the actual needs of the Railway Administration.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern

The selection process of RRB Group D exam comprises four stages excluding the RRB Group D Apply Online process and issuance of RRB Group D Admit Card.

The four stages of RRB Group D Exam pattern are:

  1. Computer-Based Examination is conducted for 90 minutes. A total of 100 questions are asked on four different sections (English, Maths, GK & GS) and there is a negative marking of ⅓ marks for each wrong attempt in the CBT.

RRB Group D Nationality A candidate must be a citizen of India, either/or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugee settled in India, or any person of Indian origin.

RRB Online

The RRB Online application process is almost the same for all the exams. The application process varies only during the selection of the desired RRB Exam.

Steps for RRB Exam online application is given below:

  1. Click on the ONLINE application link for the recruitment of the desired exam on the official website.
  2. Enter your name, Date of Birth and Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Aadhaar number, State, Community, SSLC/Matric Roll number, year of passing SSLC/Matric, mobile number and email-id and then submit for registration.
  3. Before submitting for registration, ensure and confirm that all the information furnished above are correct as the details furnished for registration cannot be changed later.
  4. On submitting the registration form, the registration number and password shall be displayed to the candidate. Also, OTPs (One Time Password) shall be sent to the registered mobile number and email along with the registration details.
  5. In Part 1 of the application page, provide the details of Educational qualification, Community, Gender, Religion, Ex-SM, PWD, Minority, Economically backward class, Age relaxation eligibility category as applicable and other details.
  6. On completion of application details as above, the candidate will be directed to the payment page to choose payment mode i.e Bank (online->net banking/credit card/debit card & offline->Other Modes->Bank Branch for challan) or Post Office Challan and complete the payment process.
  7. In case of online payment, you will be automatically directed to Part II of application for filling up additional details.
  8. In the Part II application page, fill in the details of Scribe (Applicable to eligible PWD Candidates only), Detailed Educational Qualification, Choice of Exam Language for First and Second stage CBT
  9. Select the Upload Photo tab and upload your colour photograph of the dimensions mentioned.
  10. Candidates are advised to keep at least 12 (Twelve) copies of the same photograph for further use as and when required during the recruitment process.
  11. Candidates belonging to SC/ST have to upload a scanned copy of their SC/ST certificates (JPG/JPEG format, 50kb – 100kb) also for availing the facility of free travel authority (Second Class Railway Pass).
  12. Candidates have to confirm the declaration of terms and conditions in the application.
  13. The entire application shall be displayed and the candidate may take the print of the application and preserve it for reference and record.
